Terms & fine print
Short version: we make rubber shims, you do the installing. Here's the honest split.
- What you're buying. A kit of printed TPU shims, sold as-is. They quiet a huge range of loose covers, but we can't promise a fit for every cover ever cast. If yours stays noisy, the refunds page has you covered.
- You're the one holding it. Cast iron is heavy and the edges are unkind. Wear gloves, wear eye protection, get a second pair of hands, and never let any part of you be under a cover as it goes down. We're not there, we can't supervise, and the install is yours.
- Private property only. Your driveway, your HOA's storm drain, your building's vault. Municipal covers in a public street aren't yours and aren't ours — leave them to the city.
- Never in traffic. No shim is worth standing in a roadway for. If a cover can be reached by a moving car, walk away. Nothing on this site is an invitation to work in live traffic.
- Where our liability stops. The most Shush Shim will ever owe you is what you paid for the kit. Injury, damage, or trouble arising from how the shims get installed or used is on the installer.
